I know this has been asked before , but looking for somewhere I can purchase , prefer to be able to order online a full size/Apt size - stackable washing machine and dryer.
I know this has been asked before as I searched the website and other post , but the most recent update is from 2014 , so its dated . If anyone has any information , please post .

Cheers

I would like to add: From my knowledge of buying appliances for apts in the states that product is probably the most expensive item you can buy in that category if you can find it. Added to that the current pandemic put a chrimp on availablity of some of the less popular items.

Just bought a Whirlpool stack from Corippio in Punta Cana. Paid 65,000 rd after a discount. Including installation. Nice unit.

A word of warning for north coast people. Avoid the GE version of the stacking washer/dryer. It is absolute crap.
Whirlpool is a MUCH better option.

Cannot comment on washing machines, but we've bought both of our (why two? because we had to move to Europe for a bit a few years ago) fridges from Corripio in POP. Nothing but good to say about them. Both of these units had issues with the mainboard, and their warranty system and repairs worked flawlessly. Their mechanic had to us ask us 3 times how old was the fridge, as apparently, we have taken good care of it... Excellent service, and stand by their words...

What ever you buy, look up all the information you can about make and MODEL. Look up parts for it and if still in stock/available and that you can order and get them.

Many appliances sold in the D.R. are out of date or discontinued.

More importantly, many sold in the DR are from Mexico and Latin America. So if you go to searspartsdirect.com to look for replacement parts, the model comes back as invalid. Totally different market.

That's why you can buy Goodyears tires cheaper here than in the states for example. They're made in South America. Still good tires, but not American made.

Tools and appliances from Mexico and Latin America are a species among themselves.

There are no Goodyear tires made in USA or washing machines for that matter. The ones made in US are only for new cars and vehicles supplied to the factory direct

Each model is made for a distinctive market, hence the part numbers not matching.

Much like the price matching guarantees offered by purveyors like bestbuy and others. Their tv and appliance models are made custom for them only.

Now, if we are talking cars? That’s a whole different pot. You really want the US version over the LA or other markets of manufacture.
They are dead traps.
