Cavo,It depends on what you consider a decent price. Do you want a Chinese, Japanese, or Taiwanese pasola?
There are plenty of dealerships within 20 miles of Sosua to choose from. The biggest ones are in Puerto Plata. You can find many Chinese brands for under $1200. I've seen some for $800. They are all pretty much of the same quality, the only difference is the styling and the size of the engines.Cavo,
Thank you for your prompt reply ; I don't care about the brand as long as I can buy from a dealership with a
CC within 20 miles of Sosua.
Price ? Under $1,200 ?
If you pay by credit card you won't get a discount.Cavo,

Just my 2 cents, but I would never allow a 17 year old to ride a motorized anything here. Way too dangerous.Been coming in Sosua since 2007, back now for few weeks...My best friend's son is now 17, I wish to bu

He will not need safety course after his 1st survival of near death experience and he will have found god! Besides this is Sosua mostly drunkards establish a meting with god..common sense is the issue that can’t be taught$1,200 new is a fair price.
You may want to include a safety course on defensive driving. Very high death rate on these roads.
It’s Sosua ..ya shit happens but still ...Just my 2 cents, but I would never allow a 17 year old to ride a motorized anything here. Way too dangerous.

I rode a passola for years in South East Asia without any problems.I've never been to Sosua. I was more concerned with an inexperienced driver with all those moto guys. It could turn out to be not so nice.
I wasn't going to mention this, but what the heck. Back in the eighties, I used to live in a nice urbanization on Ave. España.would never tell someone to buy any kind of moto for a 17 year old anywhere in the DR...if you must, buy very good health insurance first.....
