We came through Buffalo and took a taxi across border. Three days in after many phone calls they accepted our sinovac vaccine and we are exempted from quarantine

I knew the Canadian government would eventually accept the Sinovac and allow Canadians to return. This is good news for Canadians in the DR who have the Sinovac and want to return.

Still waiting for the Cdn Govt to make a formal announcement and move Sinovac from the unacceptable list of vaccines in the guidance documents posted for returning travelers. I suspect it will still be awhile before this policy change becomes widely publicized if ever. Canadians returning from the DR by air still have high hurdles to clear at the airport if they only have a Chinese vaccine. I have seen nothing that leads me to believe that Sylvia is anything other than an isolated exception made by a bureaucrat who was tired of being pestered about Sinovac - but it could be a positive starting point if the govt is indeed serious about accepting more vaccines administered to expats in other countries.

So what? What misinformation? The odds are miniscule on dying from the Wuhan flu. We know that. We don't know very much about the vax at all, except that it doesn't work all the time.
