He said that bookings for December exceed 26%, which was had in the same season for the year 2019

Well we can agree on one thing.........the posts I reference before this one............were nonsense. 99.9% lol.

And this one is likely no different.

Given the rise of rise of new virus cases, the waning efficacy/effectiveness and problems with the current vaccines and the ongoing concerns about the delta variant worldwide, the additional facts that all the hotels are not open, that their still remains shortages of planes and crew........................the DR will be hard pressed to exceed 26% of their December tourist numbers of 2019. That number in December 2019 was 624,000. That would mean 786,000 tourists for December 2021.

On or about the second week of January 2022, we will know how nonsensical that statement is likely to be.

There are over 70 deaths per day (those officially reported) in the US alone. Seems it's a game of Russian roulette.
If you already had Covid and now have natural immunity seems stupid to get the shots.

The DR didn't want Sinovac, but had no choice due to European and USA hoarding all the other vaccines in the beginning.

I would never call out any country for taking care of its own first. What you call hoarding I call the correct approach when such vaccines are in short supply. Even if that country were China. Russia or North Korea, I would not criticize that approach. As it was, Operation Warp Speed in the US is the reason people have any vaccines at all as soon as they did.

Where I do put blame is on China for continuing a cover up and refusing to cooperate on the lab leak in Wuhan. That is all on China.

Are the unvaccinated endangering the vaccinated? In so far as hospitals & ICUs are overwhelmed by mostly unvaccinated Covid patients, yes, of course they endanger anyone needing urgent care. Not to mention the unvaxxed spread the virus at much higher rates than the vaxxed, due to both higher viral loads and simply the sheer number of infected - while also providing hosts for further mutations.

Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that Connecticut, Vermont and Massachusetts, all of which have vaccinated more than two-thirds of their populations, have seen the lowest number of new COVID-19 cases per capita during the past week.


You may be thinking, “I’m vaccinated, so why does this affect me?” When hospitals are overwhelmed, it affects anyone who needs any kind of medical attention. If people get injured or have a condition that must be treated very quickly — such as a stroke — but they live in an area where the closest hospitals are overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients, they may be unable to get treated properly and quickly. This can have deadly consequences - highlights mine.

The point being................Si No Vac was more placebo-like. Maybe it saved lives...........and maybe it did not. But one thing is clear, there are no long term studies available on its possible long term effects.

If it truly was as effective as all the public relations articles that were put out over the last 6-8 months (funded by the Chinese)...................no country would be abandoning it.

But they are abandoning it......................precisely because there are better alternatives........or so they believe.
