My neighbor owns 5 Dogos.
The mother dog is very aggressive, the males much less so.
They have always been in walled compounds but at one of their properties, away from me, and where they keep two of them one escaped killing two smaller neighbors' dogs.

The other day I got up at dawn to walk my dogs. And as I opened my gate 3 of these Dogos came running towards my smallest dog who had started barking (she's about 13 lbs).

To save her life I ran and shouted at my dog and fortunately she did turn and run behind me. But my middle size dog about 60 lbs ran up beside me just as the Dogo arrived and a fight ensued.
I have a heavy wooden club that I broke over that dogs head to no effect.
Fortunately I was able to grab its collar (this dog weighs 130-140 lbs) and pull it off my smaller (but brave) dog who was bitten in the leg and she managed to limp back to the gate where I locked the dog inside
I dislocated my finger when the Dogo knocked me to the ground (I'm 190) and I received one small puncture on my arm as well, and it wound up costing me over 4000 pesos at Bournigal to reset the finger, and I am not sure it won't need surgery.

Has anyone ordered a heavy duty stun-stick and was there a problem getting it shipped in ? I recall (maybe Bob Saunders) who had a dog attack his young Great Dane.

I do not want to hurt the Dogo but I do not want one of mine killed or injured and prefer not to carry a machete on walks.

Anyone have a recommendation on stun-club ?

That was Cobraboy that had his young great Dane attacked. I have never seen a male dog aggressively attack a female. perhaps one of those silent sound emitters that hurts their ears would work.

The worst fight I ever saw was when our male rottie attacked our female rottie, who was pregnant. She had been attacked by another female we had, a viralata, and defended herself. It was awful to watch and even worse to stop. It took Mr AE and our Haitian gardener literally jumping in between the two dogs. (We have one of the pups from that litter in NJ now, she’s 8 and feisty like her parents).

People told us we should have turned a hose on them, but by the time we would have done that one of them probably would have been dead.

The attack was a females on female. But people who have huge dogs need to have 100% control.
Lot's of dogs fight periodically but killer dogs like Dogos or Cane Corsos or large pit bulls need locked down or owner must have special licenses. And 5 of them is a pack that is extremely dangerous - easily kill a child or adult for that matter

How bad was your female Rottweiler injured?

Most dog fights look and sound terrible but do not result in serious injuries.
The risk is you get bitten trying to stop it.

I had 4 Staffords living together at one time and we would get fights.
The easy way to stop the fight is to wait a few moments until the fight slows down then reach in with a collar or the leash or even a piece of rope and twist it such that the dog cannot breathe.

Whatever started your Rottie spat will still go on until it is settled.
More times than not the fight is related to dominance.

I would soft collar both dogs (not choke style collars) so as to be ready for the next fight.
Getting in the middle is very risky.
Dogs seem to have a good memory and it may take a few fights before the issue is settled.
Dogs want a pack order even if its only two of them, one must be in charge or there will be dissension.

Easy way for you to see who is the boss is watch which one goes through the doors first.
Once you know the pack order you should feed the boss first and support which one ends up in charge.

It was settled when we rehomed the viralata. She was there first and resented it when my suegra’s rottie came to us when MIL died. Sadly, both rotties died within a year, one poisoned and one kicked by a cow that got onto our property (internal injuries).

I am no expert on Dogs
but there is one thing which i have learned stops Fighting dogs Instantly.... We once broke up 2 full size pit bulls who were trying to kill each other ..

but Unfortunately by the time you get back , your dog could be severely injured or dead.

Its as simple as a 5 gallon bucket of Water , into the attacking dogs FACE .. instant release and Reset ...
for some reason they hate drowning more than they enjoy fighting

so maybe keep a bucket of water at the gate ,I dont know it that helps .

really sorry to hear your dog was injured .. hope you get it resolved .

First off, the OP is a better person than me, as in, even after that episode he wishes not to hurt the offending dog.
Don't get me wrong, I love dogs.
A dog might get a pass if he was defending his territory...... but in front of the gate of my house.... nope.

Secondly, the OP is a braver person than me. I might take on one 120lb+ dog...... but 3 ? <<equips 12gauge shotgun>>.........

We used to have a Maglite size " stun baton" and the dogs were very wary of the noise.
Somehow the dogs tricked my wife and got hold of it and buried it in the conuco, so that was the end of that. We shipped it in an envio/box thingy from abroad.

I dont think i would feel comfortable getting even that close to zap a crazy agressive dog.

Obviously the owners are not doing things right. The dogs shouldn't be able to escape and if they still did, they should not be aggressive when off their territory.
I would have words with them.
