Tell us how you REALLY feel 🤣

Not all of them are awful. I kind of like breakfast buffets.
Same here. Not so crazy about any others except for a really good seafood place I went to in Orlando once.

Right across the street from a Golden Corral. Now THERE is a place I won't go back. Once was enough.

Almost inhuman.

I am Canadian, I have been to many resorts for the weekend with my wife. Dominican go on the weekend all inclusive. I have noticed MANY times Dominicans filling there plates with cold meat, chicken, bread, whatever the can get, they do not eat it, they take it home, they also get glasses of rum and put it in a bottle for home. They always butt in the line, no respect for the tourists
I’ve spent years staying at DR resorts in the Playa Dorada area. I’ve never noticed the locals hoarding food or booze to take homes. On crowded weekends many don’t respect lineups, plates are overfilled, and a few drink excessively but most don’t.

Las Terrenas
We had a couple of investment properties in Las Terrenas that we rented out through Airbnb and other sites. We had so many complaints from the neighbors on both that we had to finally tell our property manager to rent out to foreigners ONLY.

Things got stolen or destroyed and we couldn't put up with all the complaints of extremely loud music at 2am-to 4m in the morning. Most violated the rules and they also brought friends over to sleep as well.

Loud music is a hallmark of Dominicans, I get it.

But the vast majority were not respectful of other people or neighboring properties, throwing trash everywhere and blocking driveways.

My favourite meal of the day. Up early, get my run in before it’s too hot, quick shower then off to the dining broom to beat the crowd and enjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast. Fresh fruit, mangu, really like the DR yogurt. A few cups of cafe con leche to get all my cylinders firing and I’m ready to enjoy my day.

Dominicans and Puerto Ricans are very similar in that they will go to a party, complain loudly about the food, then ask for a plate to go.
Tell me you haven't seen this.

Anytime we had a celebration in Luperon, many DR locals were invited. The excess food was offered to them and many graciously accepted it, others didn’t. I remember one double wedding where there was so much food, it lasted over three days. It was a moveable feast taken from house to house. Appreciated and shared by all.

The one thing I do remember about the wedding was all the locals, rich and poor, were dressed well to suit the occasion and behaved impeccably. The one thing I won’t forget is the incessant talking by the evangelical minister who was master of ceremonies. It was amplified and constant. Thankfully rum numbed the sound of his voice. 😆

Hopefully I won't be limited to sign up in Jarro Cafe Resorts for this year vacation.
I would say 90 off 100 occupancy in this hotel we're Dominican last Summer.

Too expensive, almost $1000. Dollars two nights.

I hate talking bad about Dominicans but the truth is the truth.
My BIL was general manager of Bahia Principe RSJ for many years, and everybody was alarmed when large groups of Dominicans would come as guests.
Behaviour as described before.
Plates full of breakfast stuff, taken to the pool.
Towels were stolen, two times they even tried to take tv’s and a mattress to their cars and SUV’s.

there are certainly a number of uncouth and boorish folks here. However the Gold medal goes to Las Vegas. The entire town is a study of disgusting excess. Obese drunks as far as the eye can see. The only dirty words in that town are salad, vegetables and moderation.

I wonder what they said when you told them to put back the mattress.

It wasn’t me, but my Brother in law who was the manager.
They called the police that’s what he told me, I don’t remember him telling me the outcome.

There are lifestyle A.I. umbrellas, towels, hats, shirts, all w/the logo throughout the barrios. Mostly stolen from the resort. And oh how they love to eat.

To be fair, i had a gf when i was a kid she was from South Plainfield, NJ. We went out to dinner with her family. The mom was signaling something to them when we were leaving. I heard the mother whisper she took the dinner rolls in her pocket book. This was after the father expelled some fragrant flatulence at the table, which was clearly overheard by the neighboring tables, to which the entire family busted out in a full gut laugh. So i really don't know who is worse.

"They're souvenirs! Why else would they put their names on them?"
I don't know now but back in the days the towels of Santiago motels used to have a sign... Robado a Cabañas La Posada.

All the motels in DR will print a sign.

Hard to believe but true!
