Get your winter clothes out if you are in Santo Domingo or in La Vega for this Saturday/ Sunday, 9-10 December.
The Weather Agency (Onamet) is forecasting lows of 16C for Santo Domingo and 15C for La Vega. This means those in Jarabacoa or Constanza will be able to enjoy lows of under 13C in the early mornings.

Meanwhile, the cold front coming down from the north will not affect the eastern coast. Onamet forecasts lows of 25C for La Altagracia (Punta Cana) and 23C for Samana.

Sitting here checking the weather app for Sajoma. 53-55/12 over the next three mornings. High today under 22. What's that put it at in Jarabacoa and Constanza?
23-12 tomorrow, 25-13 Tuesday and Wednesday for Jarabacoa. Constanza - 21-8 for the next three days.

You know the best part of checking the weather on this app is to scroll past the temperature and on down below it has air quality, pollen index, UV index, humidity and "Driving Difficulty". Unless its raining, the answer is always "None". Now that may be true in little Sajoma. But when I check Santiago down the road on a clear day and Driving Difficulty is listed as "None", I get suspicious. I'm thinking those AI programmers have never set foot in the DR.

I installed The Weather Channel app but its not that one. The app I got this info from was on the Samsung phone and it used to say AccuWeather. Now it instead says Weather Channel but it displays differently than the app.

Check out Windy. I think it's one of the best of the bunch.

It's dropped down to the 50s here in Santiago a few nights this week. I pull out the space heater when it drops below 65° F. The cool air doesn't bother me but the dampness leaves me feeling like I've got a head cold in the morning so I prefer to sleep with dry air.
