I never liked white rum - too harsh. Even in a Cuba Libra it doesn't taste good and forget about all those girly, fruity, rum drinks with the umbrella in them.

Cheaper and impossible to tell the difference.
I don't think I ever knew anybody who drank it straight up or even in a Cuba Libre.

It pretty much is. You could put vodka or even rubbing alcohol in one of those drinks and no one would know the difference.

Macorix coconut flavored white rum is an absolute must while relaxing on the beach. By far one of their best sellers. Not going anywhere. Will be around long after we're gone.
