Cangrejo bridge​

The government pays landowners near the Cangrejo bridge. Claritza Rochtte, representative of the executive in the province of Puerto Plata, and the regional director of the Ministry of Public Works, Basilio González, presented the checks on behalf of the government to landowners living close to the new Cangrejo bridge in Montellano. The beneficiaries are José Ramón Ramírez, owner of the fish market, and Antonio Capellán, owner of the hardware store. After reaching an agreement, President Luis Abinader provided the agreed funds through the Ministry of Public Works.​

Guess why the "big presentation"... To pretend something is going forward!
Like Windy mentioned it looks like Estrella did get the contract to build the bridge but there is still no official announcement... So the "plan" is to finish it in 8 months according to MOPEC which would be... let me count... February 2024 at the hight of what? Ahh... Campaing for election! 🙈

I wonder if Claritza ask the check recipients for her 'commission'.

That hardware store may have to relocate if they take much of his frontage. I have bought a lot there.

Claritza is the POP Governor. Governors are the direct representation of the President (in this case Abinader) of all global matters in any province.

Does that look like crane components to you? I was thinking it may be the bases of the bridge itself. You're probably right, Estrella would be one of the few who would have a crane like that.

Anything is possible but that piece on the end appears to be crane ballast.
I'm just guessing because the steel on the trailer says Mammoet on it - a company that specializes in heavy lifts and offers several types of crawler cranes

Land deal was done awhile ago..just closed ..photo op.. nobody hands cheq says gtfo government especially lawyers same as when we buy except they get title and deslinde much faster... smell the diesel in the air..
