This has been around for awhile and I doubt that anyone on this board would go for it, but giving the warning anyway. It works like this. You get a message on your phone that a package is at a DR post office and they need your address to deliver it. Anyone here any time knows this is BS. Anyway a friend of mine fell for this until he mentioned it to me and he wised up. But it is a fishing expedition for your info. And it is coming from NYC It looks pretty official..........

I've had similar messages although not targeting for a DR post office. And yes, they do exist

Yes I remember many moons ago I had to go to a post office to pick up a parcel, took about 2 hours, typical Dominican way of making something easy seem very very complicated and time consuming. Never again.

I get them from all over the place. Imposdom, UPS, Amazon, etc.

I go to the website of the shipper in question and login there to confirm it's a scam.

I sometimes feel like messing around with them but who knows how sophisticated they may be.

The only place I get packages from is Amazon, and they do the tracking until the items get to DOMEX in Miami. So for me, any text messages are an obvious scam, and I block those numbers and report them as a scam in Google...not sure how much good that does but it's all I can do.

I received on my iphone and I reported and blocked, at work some of my coworkers got it too. I think may come from Europe because they used at the end of message Spanish slang Os deseo instead les deseo.
