Interesting. Three hundred is a lot of property owners. I won't comment on the history of Cana Bay developments.

Roberto Cavada is a reputable source of RD news, based in Santo Domingo.

[Google translation from Spanish]

Cana Bay property owners report abuse and retaliation by management.

More than 300 owners of the Cana Bay Resort in Punta Cana have reported a series of abuses that they claim violate their property rights and the legal security of their investments. Among the main complaints are restrictions on access to their properties, pressure to sign a "Protective Regulation" imposed by the administration, and retaliation against those who do not accept these conditions.

I know this place well. It is just past the entrance to the Hard Rock. But it has nothing to do with the HR or the owner. They have been selling for years and people think it is part of the HR, but you cannot even get into the HR if you own here. One of the worst investments you can make in PC...........

Exactly. They have, over the years, featured prominently the proximity to Hard Rock. To the point that i think I saw disclaimers at one point.

They have also said, and may still say, if you put your condo into the rental pool, they will pay you a very high guaranteed rate of return. Guaranteed.

There is a lot more about the history of the projects. There are multiple buildings/projects. It will be interestinig to follow this situation.

I always thought it was "deceiving" the way Cana Bay made their advertising look as though the project was connected to the Hard Rock. Or at least early on it did, I haven't looked recently.

it is not clear to me yet which property owners are complaining. There are two separate entities in the same area. All use the Cana Bay beach club.
