If the father disappears and the mother doesn't know where he is, the chances drop to zero. Same if the father is not employed. Otherwise, she can go to the Fiscalia and file a denuncia. The fiscal can have him jailed if he doesn't pay.The Maigc 8-Ball says "Not Likely"
There is a way they recommend. To do transfer into your account, to show proof showing receipts of transfer. No transfer into account, shows no child support made. How would a woman show proof she hadn't been paid? The onus is on the guy to show he did pay.
I find it curious that 2 guys who live about two miles apart, can enjoy such different Dominican Republics.
Your comment reminds me of this photo from São Paulo (not mine)Within two miles you can fit at least partially a decent residencial and a not-so-good barrio... That's the problem as with many other developing nations, there are huge differences in how people are and what kinds of lives they live... Same thing occurs in 1st word countries, only the differences are slightly milder...
It´s not true that nothing happens to the father if he ignores a court order. You can get the father locked up, and that´s actually not hard to enforce. There´s lots of situations and issues why women sometimes don´t take theIir kids´ dads to court. Sometimes the woman still has feelings for the guy, and doesn´t want to harm him. Some are like "I don´t want my kid to suffer knowing their dad is in jail. Others want to take ¨the high road¨, don´t want to go to a court to literally beg for what the guy should be already doing. There´s also the ones who don´t want the guy to have rights over the child or don´t want to see the kid spending time with the other woman (if cheating was involved). Sometimes what the guy could provide is not much, so it might not even be worth it to loose time in court when you´ll probabbly have to be constantly asking for permission from work. Going to court can be exhausting. Most women have a support system with relatives and loved ones who help raise the kid, so they decide not to do anything about it.Today I bought a jumbo pack of Pampers & a big tin of Similac formula for a friend, who is desperate, and humbled herself to ask for help.
The father of the 3-month old boy blocked her number and after a couple of $50 payments no longer will help with the support of the infant.
They were together for about a year before the birth.
But this is not the only Dominican mother I know in this condition. I know 3 others, all of whom receive no support and the fathers want nothing to do with their children. They were just hit & run sperm donors. I know this is incredibly common here, becuase I know very few Dominicans.
I would guess it's more than half the fathers that do not help support their offspring.
Yes the mother can get a court order but the fathers ignore it and nothing happens to them. And many of these children get dumped on the grandmother.
Yes, the court takes into account what the father does for a living and how much he makes. Sometimes what the father was already providing was more before he got taken to court.Probably a stupid question, but is there court enforced child support here?
A dozen of women I have spoken to re this subject affirm what you are saying.it is absolutely enforced. It´s not true that nothing happens to the father if he ignores a court order. But if the woman decides to follow up, the father will be in trouble. I even know a guy who was providing but wouldn´t keep receipts or tabs or what he was giving the mother, or for what he´d buy for the kid. He got in trouble as the mother said he wasn´t giving them anything! Perhaps your friend isn´t aware that she can do something about it, or she is just thinking of you as the solution to her problems.
I would like to see a woman try to jail her baby daddy for not paying his 4,000-5,000 per month. They usually won't waste their time or they hope he will suddenly take an interest hi his child and don't want to alienate him furtherA dozen of women I have spoken to re this subject affirm what you are saying.it is absolutely enforced.
I know of three times that has happened. One of them was my ex's sister and he was jailed twice.yea, that really happened.
This is not a rare occasion. Happens all the time. Just because one poster who still thinks he lives somewhere else says it does not, pay him no mind ……………….I know of three times that has happened. One of them was my ex's sister and he was jailed twice.
...and fired from his job and denied exit...odd!I know of three times that has happened. One of them was my ex's sister and he was jailed twice.
So wrong Big....my spouse's cousin (odd ball of the family) has been in jail twice for failure to pay child support (he has the money so that is not an issue). And yes, he was fired from his job by my FIL of all people. At one time he had an impedimento de salida because of the issue. Unless you have proof that this is false, it can't happen, stop with the posts about everything being false.reminds me of the devil's thread posts..... false
I stand corrected, the jails are full of child support delinquents. Who knew.So wrong Big....my spouse's cousin (odd ball of the family) has been in jail twice for failure to pay child support (he has the money so that is not an issue). No matter what you think or believe your acts of charity are what counts. Keep up the good deeds.I would like to see a woman try to jail her baby daddy for not paying his 4,000-5,000 per month.
