You DO realize that the kids get the gifts....not the champage! The champage is for the parents of those children along with the people giving out the gifts! It's an all out party for everyone! Kids getting gifts that they would probably never have received.....and the parents get a little champage that they would probably not spend the money on to bring in the new year.

I have HUNDREDS of pictures of the events of NYE.....I can hardly post them all! Pardon me for not posting the correct ones....next time I'll consult you prior to posting:tired:

then give the kids a party and the parents a party later. its not rocket science.. think of the impact on the children. I am all for charity. as long as it is done in the right enviroment.

have fun when you drink your champers. kids and drink. just great ,carry on

as for me. I will be working a alcohol free soup kitchen on the cold streets of manchester. you self righteous pillock

Were it not for a previous engagement, I might pop over to Manchester and see you doing something of the goodness of your heart.
Interesting you making a point of it being alcohol free when many of your previous posts mention your love of partying. Do you wear many hats? One for each personality? Just remember the beenie hat for your ride on the short bus.

time for another dose of mother theresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind,
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the best you've got anyway.

we are doing a lot of quoting of this recently lol

Looks like someone has an issue with alcohol. :paranoid:

We're not all so sensitive about a little booze or recovering alcoholics that can't stand to watch other drink and have a good time.

I don't believe we have to drink to have fun but it sure can make for a better time, and we certainly don't have to justify ourselves or our intentions to the likes of you! :cheeky::bunny::bunny:
I was refering to your first and last sentence, could i suggest you have a party for the kids only so they dont have to watch you down 100 bots of champers.. I'm all for the party but not around children.. and the pickys dont give a true picture in relation to the gifts.. sorry if you are upset. but drink and kids aint in my book.

CLEARLY, you have never experienced anything quite like this event. I'm sorry for you.

Have you ever tried to have a party "only for children" or "only for adults" in this country?? I'm guessing not.....which is why you can't wrap your thick skull around the concept of the NYE party! Domincans are all about family.....which is something I'm sure you haven't seen while you are doing this.....

yes, LOVE. i'm suuffering bad,my heart aches.i do childish things. and to top it of i have a desire to m~~~~~bate. every time i see them dominican la puta madre......

this is a typical English attitude and one of the reasons I wanted to move - if someone does something good there are always people in the wings waiting to bring them down (I think we learn it from the tabloid newspapers) - I apologise Im from Manchester too

clever so n so what has that got to do with charity work. you could have a party for the kids alcohol free. and then have your party.

you can try and discredit me all you want, thats fine. and yes i have held several hundred partys for children ,dont make me laugh with your once a year attempt at self rightiousness. I would be more than willing next year to do a childrens party in the DR . A family event without alcohol.....

Thank you John, I now have more worldly knowledge of the less fortunate. Just in time as I was beginning to worry about this six foot three inch bruiser of a guy (mancunian) coming after me and perhaps damaging my new colostomy bag, contents of which were being saved specifically for him (mancunian).

Talk is cheap, do something good and then brag about it. If you do what you say, it's not bragging.
Have you screwed that woman's brains out yet? Was that just advice to another since you couldn't?
You remind me of televangelists, yapping one thing and doing other things.

A family event without alcohol.....

Great idea, but in the meantime please don't tell the rest of us how we should be living our lives. I think we all have the right, and the ability, to choose our own lifestyles, and we should do so without passing judgment on those who choose differently.

Man, there is nothing worse than a reformed drunk.

I think it's great if one wishes to quit drinking, as long as they don't assume that everyone who enjoys having an occasional beer is just another alcoholic waiting to be saved.

Live and let live, and for those of you who have seen the light, just be happy you have found your inner peace, but please stop preaching to the rest of us, who must muddle through without a guiding light.

We are all big boys and girls, and I'm sure most of us are quite capable of choosing the way we want to live our lives. After all, we made it this far, didn't we?

Rocky doesn't even drink except that night.
It is a NYE party that is mobile and many years ago in the days when you were a poor loser alcoholic, rocky and his friends drove to the poor barrios and shared champagna with everyone.
The kids wanted to drink too and be part of the party so they decided to bring presents for them the next year and they have done it for every year for 15 years.
That is the history of the event and now 10s of thousands of dollars are spended to make as many people happy on NYE as possible and that includes adults and children and babies and granparents and pregnant ladies and ancient dying souls.
They say they have more fun giving than receiving but you think that is a crime so I will tell them to stop enjoying it so much just to keep you happy.

wow this site is amazing.. i was on lifeinthedr.. but i think i found the place to be. cheers..
Here are some more words that show you contradicting yourself again. That is the problem with the printed words. The liars and cheats and fakes and all round bad people get haunted by them coming back on them.
Or is it that you can not fit in anywhere?
Did they throw you out of their club?

Hey Buddy, I think you have taken too much of my worm medicine and need to just chill out and come back tomorrow. It is obvious that you are even having trouble finding the right keys on the keyboard.

Why? Would he have improved by then, do you think?

You know, I'd almost forgotten this attitude, having been away so long. Don't take it too much to heart, JR. Yes I suppose he's an embarrassment if one is a Brit. but he isn't exactly an important embarrassment, now is he?

Perhaps we should all give him the importance he deserves & ignore him? On every thread in every forum? That way he'll have no-one to fight with.
