Since Marco has always been a helpful hand here goes...
Marrakesh-Frankfurt (Hahn) 961,41 dirhams (113.78 us$) on Ryanair - Book Cheap Flights to Europe - Cheap Flights from the UK
05/14/09 8hr40-14hr25
or Fez to Frankfurt (Hahn) even some 100 dirhams cheaper and gets you in Fra-Hahn on thursday late night 23hr30
then
Frankfurt Int-POP 299€ (396.92 us$) on Condor - Born to fly.
05/15/09 15hr20-19hr30
!!! Frankfurt (Hahn) is 50 miles west of Fra-intl so he will have to commute. There is a shuttle Frankfurt Hahn Airport
Now I don't live in Germany so never checked that out...

OK - see my instructions above, but instead of going to M?laga from Tarifa or Algeciras:

- take a bus from Tarifa/Algeciras to La L?nea
- cross on foot from La L?nea to Gibraltar
- take a flight from Gib to London Gatwick.

From London there are charters to POP.

Chiri, Gib-LON will be costly on BA, the more for a OW
better to book a flight on Ryanair to Luton (ex Marrakesh) and make it to gatwick from there. Thomson had good deals in the past, maybe First Choice

I emailed him detailed instructions on how to go Harwich-Liverpool St.-Victoria-LGW a while back.

He can fly Morocco to here, but it'll be multiple changes and very expensive: for example on say 14 May he can go Marrakesh-Madrid on Iberia ( 4 hour approx flight, then wait 4 hours), Madrid-Dusseldorf on Lufthansa (2.5 hour fllight then almost immediate connection) & Dusseldorf-PP on LTU - total journey time approx 19 hours, cost US$1293 including rebate, it says here.
Cheap Tickets, Cheap Flights and Airfare - cFares

Might be cheaper to either go back to UK for a cheap charter flight OR to Brussels & pick up Jet Air Brussels to Puerto Plata last minute booking for about 150 Euros.

Or he can fly direct from Madrid into SDQ on Iberia flight IB 6501. There are daily flights.

I avoid London's airports when I can.

This is so cool> Like a Bible on how to get from there to here on the cheap....so many alternatives...

I would have thought : Camel to nearest airport, from there to Madrid, then Madrid to anywhere in DR where one of the Rocky's Rib Minions would provide limo service to Sos?a...

Anyway, lots of helping hands there...

Have a word with Aftab (AZB). His Brother works for Delta I believe & might have a direct line to one of the 'Carpet Conchos'. Do you think that whilst carrying passengers over water that Carpet Conchos' have to insist their passengers wear life jackets AS WELL as helmets & do AMET (or the African equivalent) have souped up carpets to chase transgressors?? :ermm: :surprised :bunny::bunny::bunny: ~ Grahame.

So many options.

First, I have to tell you that my camel is an unruly lil bugger with a nasty temper and he absolutely refuses to take me near any airports.
Planes make him nervous, so I'm thinking of using a goat cart (not to be confused with a Go Kart) to get to the Marrakesh airport.
From there, off to any European country that is offering a decent last minute price to POP.
The whole thing, minus the camel and goat cart should be $500 US or less. That's the advantage of being able to leave on any day or the week, as some week days are ridiculously cheap.
The flight here form Gatwick was $175 US including extra luggage, tourist visa and all taxes.
