Golo is right, last nights episode of the sindicated program "The Bachelor" was a disgusting display of how North American women are begging for any man, yet when a man approches them they reject the man.

In this show the bachelor is an ordinary looking American male, while the women are from various ethnic and educational backgrounds.

In fact this bachelor does not even demonstrate much of a personality. However, what I found interesting is how the women were all dying for a piece of this "Ordinary Man".

Most of these women have some kind of profession earn a decent living have some education, yet display neanderthal emotions and tactics regarding men. Most of them had no class.

Give me a Dominican women anyday, even if they are poor or not well educated, they are the best company I have ever had, and they have a tremendous respect for men.

Punto final!!

I saw part of that too last night but found it so boring I turned it off. Although "Who wants to marry a millionaire" was even more pathetic it was more entertaining. You must understand that these women are aspiring actresses or hoping to get Hugh Heffner to notice them for they're shot in Playboy. Please don't think we all come from the same mold :( I think they need to change out the guys on these...ordinary at most, they need an Alex Rodriguez look a like, now we're talking! ;)

Yeah, I watched it too. Disgusting it was. But, Fred? Don't believe everything you see on TV. That show is R.I.G.G.E.D. And word, Theresa, on the ambitions of the contestants - they all want to be *discovered*, and if they have to marry The Bachelor to get there so be it. These are not your everyday women.

Could you (just for fun), Fred, demystify the "respect for men" comment? Isn't it strange that the only women who seem to respect you are women who are "poor or not well educated"? Wouldn't that say something about YOU and not about women in general?

Fred would seem to be a MALE CHAUVANIST!

Hence the comment about the "tremendous respect for men" these poor, uneducated Dominican women have.
I have a tremendous respect for men also.......but only for those who have earned it!!

This is the 21st century and it seems to me that a lot of men are still living in the Dark Ages when it comes to the respect they have for women.
I am not a piece of meat, nor am I anyones' property. Show me the respect you have for me and for others and I'll give you the respect you deserve.

Thank God I am not a woman!.and for "Vibrators"!

Because if the "Posts" on DR1 made by men are an indication of whats "Out-There",I would forever remain "Single"!"They" are all looking for a "Trophy",not a companion.A sex "object",not a sex "partner"! A Dominican "Puppy" to "lay" at their feet, and fetch their slippers!A short engagement, not a life long commitment!I don,t blame independent women for not wanting a man,we aren,t worth it!A financially independent woman has to her advantage that she doesn,t "need" a man for financial security. The majority of Dominican women wouldn,t give us "Old Dogs" a second look if we didn,t have "Financial Independance" tatoo,ed on our foreheads! Nothing wrong with that in my book, but don,t think we are all that attractive,OK? I have a sister who is 50 "something",2 masters degrees, worked for the state of Mass. as a psychologist,is retired on CapeCod,never married, and is as happy as a "Cape Cod "Clam"! Men?,who needs "us"? Got to go,my sister asked me to pick-up some batteries for her!CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCccccccccccccccccccccccPS,Fred,a "Hooters Waitress" doesn,t qualify as a "Profession",unless you mean;the worlds "Oldest"profession?

Respect for Men

Respect for men has nothing to do with either being poor or educated or not educated. Here is an example of what I mean.

I used to date a Anglo american girl whos mother told her do not marry for love, marry for money, I do not want you to suffer like I have. end quote.

When I used to go to her house I was never well received by her mother, in fact she would never even offer me a cup of coffee.

However, my Dominican wifes' mother is exactly the opposite, she takes me for the person that I am, when I go over to her house, you should see the welcome that I get, I have never ever heard her say a bad word about me. I am given respect as a man and a person.

If I would have been a doctor or successful business man, the other womans mother( and her) would have treated me differently.

I have the utmost respect for all women(thats how I came into the world). The other day I opened the door for a lady, and she said very agressively, "I can do it myself"

By the way, I watched very carefully at the faces and the way the ladies reacted to Alex, they are not actors.

MommC....

I personally didn't see anything offensive to woman in Fred's post.
He tells it how he see's it. I personally agree with what he say's.

When I look back at my time living in Miami and New York I only dated
woman of Latin origin. Maybe it's me, but they had a different outlook
on life, more real, less plastic!

I'm not painting all "western" girls with the same brush,
just telling it like I see it, don't take it personal.

Rob.....

I agree Dominican women are great company........especially the "ordinary" women.
But I have seen how even higher class females respond to their males......forgive me but the "god worshipping" days are over.......
Us "goddesses" just want equal respect.
We're WORTH it!!

Maybe this is the real reason North American and European women seem so plastic ????!!

Comments ladies..................

I have dated all walks of life here...

Maybe that's the problem, some woman put themselves on a pedestal and out of reach?

I don't consider any woman "ordinary", they all have their special qualities, good and bad.
Trust me, the respect is mutual, I'm not looking for a lap dog...

I'm not comparing Latin against North American. All I can tell you from my own personal experience is that I much prefer to date woman of Latin origin. Must be a reason?

GUYS

Its a television show.It has no basis in reality. Its part of the Jerry Springer complex, where networks try to outsleeze each other. Its all about shock value and ratings.Nothing is out of bounds for these networks as they search for "trailer trash"willing to sell out every last ounce of dignity in exchange for 15 minutes of fame. Its pretty sad and pathetic if you ask me.

No, but they would all *like* to be. How many do you suppose have agents? Right. This show is more about winning the title (and the subsequent Playboy spreads, appearances on sitcoms, in shopping malls, etc.) than the actual bachelor. Plastic? Totally!

Please, dear God, let this show end with the "chosen one" totally dissing The Bachelor. Let her say she went through the motions to be the final girl, and then let her say she did it in order to make a point to ABC and the rest of the world (this includes me) how absolutely insulting and ridiculous the show is.

Let Alex look confused, then relieved, and then finally come out on national TV. Cuz doesn't he seem gay to you guys?

Token Black Girl

In my opinion she is the best of the bunch. She actually kissed the would be bachelor, and he really seemed to like her.

She was the final girl given the rose(the ones who do not get the rose have to leave)

To Jane J. If these girls are actresses, then the deserve and Oscar for their performance. They may be in it for the fame, but Americans dont like loosers, only the winner will ever be remembered. The rest will always come across as loosers.

That's why they're crying and teary-eyed! Such a slim, slim chance! Those tears are realer than real. If they can't make the stupid (gay) bachelor like them, then it's back to the drawing board.

I swear to God, this show is like porn for misogynists.

Here's how the show will end

The final episode of the bachelor will end like this:

When it comes down to the wire, Alex will thank all of the ladies for their committment, courage, and tell each one how special they really were.

Then he will announce that he cannot decide and that he will elope with the gay man of his dreams Swend.

It's entirely possible - don't forget that he's also in it for his 5 minutes of fame too...

Look at all the losers from the SURVIVOR series that went on to do ads, cameos, and even thier own shows. It has spawned its own cottage industry. One of them was even a practicing neurogist, and had to be one of the stupidist men on the planet.Week after week his teammates get voted off,the whole world knows there is a conspiricy, but him.How would you like to have this clueless idiot for a doctor?I guess its a good thing he quit his profession. All those years of school, all that money, and he would rather make cameos on a soap opera. From the ratings, and success,I would say America can't get thier fill of losers.
