Major ice storm blankets Ontario and this is in the lightest hot area, some have 8 inches of ice and snoe

Sucks! Especially since we had great weather with no snow for the last couple of weeks! We have tons of snow in Guelph which isn't being removed too fast since all the plows were put away and all snow removing contracts ended April first.
April fools all month long

This is really not funny. In Ottawa we had snow all night - about 2-3 inches then freezing rain on top of that. Cars are frozen solid. I mean the outside of them - can't even open the door. I know the time was supposed to go ahead this weekend I just didn't expect it to skip a whole two seasons!!

Looks like Rochester NY!!!!!!

We are also stuck here in rochester ny with inches of ice on everything! 160,000 people in my town without electricty! Me im lucky, just no phone! The ice is now starting to melt and falling off the trees, it just SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Especially since I got an email this morning saying my grandson has started crying every day wondering when we'll be home!
Might be leaving as early as Friday and they've forcasted 40cm of snow for our area with 13cm having fallen already today!!

MommC, where in Ontario are you? I grew up (and I use this term lightly), in Hamilton. My mother still lives there. My daughter lives in Burlington.

Don't feel bad MommC I returned to Massachusetts on Thursday to a cold rain and it has been down hill from there with a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain. GRRRRRRRR
I miss my view of the beach and sunsets in Jaun Dolio.
Wud, the pictures are beautiful to look at but who had to freeze thier azz off outside to take them?
I haven't stepped outside my house in 2 days!

For Keith & Cris.......I used to visit Hamilton every summer with my parents. They had friends who lived there!
I'm from North Bay....about a 5 hr drive away!

My town was missed by the ice storm but boy did they get SNOW!!!!
About 40 cm of it yesterday. Add to that the amount they got last Saturday and during the week and there is now three foot snowbanks!!
YUCK!!

Just think of all the other people who may extend their stay after seeing that mess!!
No place like the DR when Ontario is covered in ice and snow!!:)
