Hi all,

We're coming to Playa Dorada in a few weeks. We're not rich tourists by any means. This is our honeymoon and a once in a lifetime trip.

I've seen some postings talking about bringing supplies for the local schools. It'll take almost all our money to get there but I'm sure I could bring, say, 20 sets of pads, coloured pens, pencils,etc.

What I want to know is -

Is the situation so bad?
Would such a little amount be useful?
Where best to give?

Yes the situation IS that bad!
Yes, even such a small amount will be of help!
PM Ken or BushBaby and they'll be pleased to arrange the transfer of the supplies to somewhere needed as they are in the area you'll be visiting.
You might want to do a search for my thread "It's about time....." for other ideas of items to bring.
