the list is from sosua today not sosua news - I dont think sosua today is still in operation but the web site still appears to be there

Sos?a-News

This looks fairly up to date but Antonios Bistro has been closed for some time.
Atlantic Bleu has recently closed.
Campo is really just a bar now.
Restaurant Girasol is closed I think.
La Goviota has been closed for a while now.


And there is also a Good Restarant guide on Sosua News - covers about 20 or so and is fairly up to date.

Club X is directly opposite Club 59 (Clasicos) but it looks to me as though they have closed down. I have been to Sosua several times over the last couple of weeks and they were closed. This was on various different days of the week including a Saturday night.
After One is also closed but I have been told that it will re-open next week.
One bar that is missing from the list is Sosua's newest and most popular spot, El Flow.

Club X closed, no, surely not. They have good nights, special dancers, special guest stars (including top dominican artists). The dancers are sexy, the VIP is pretty good, the VIP pool table is very slow. the staff are cool, treat you like VIP. Lots of trouble there lately due to village politics but to be expected when people are moving in on each other. After one was and will probably remain closed until the gaffa sheds a few pesos to pay for the finishing touches. Club X is much better than After one has ever been (not including be beginning when they had real break dance offs and rap battles without violence), although the door staff let the trouble makers in and that is a bomb waiting to explode, hence never go anymore, lots of gangster looking turf settlers hanging around.
I thought after one were just trying to sort the casino out, probably another hold on as the internal politics sorts itself out.

News Cafe, Pedro Clisante opposite Club Recidencial serves very good and reasonable priced food.

I went to the German restaurant by Max Car Wash today. Sorry I can't remember what the name is, maybe somebody can help out there. What a great dinner we had. The schnitzel and pan fried potatoes, (290 pesos) was excellent and the others that were with me had the special (270 pesos) that was slices of braised beef in a very nice red wine sauce with potato dumplings and stewed red cabbage. Excellent food that was served piping hot, very reasonably priced, friendly and speedy service. This will definitely be a regular place for me. Well worth a visit!

The menu used to be only in German ...but they have now upgraded to include English and Spanish - very reasonable but most things are served with red cabbage

I am German and love Schnitzel or the Beef loins with Potato Dumplings. And red cabbage..which is called blue cabbage in German, cause of its bluish tint.
