Hi guys;
Well this is a technical comment/question for all the internet gurus / codetel users of the forum.
Today I realized that most of the codetel's hostnames (a hostname is given to your router every time you connect your Flash router to internet, just like the IP address - the hostname is more usually used by your ISP to identify your device on the internet network) are within this format :
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.sta.codetel.net.do where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is always an IP address. (you can use any tracert online tool to check your IP address for verify that and get your hostname) So far so good. Well now the little problem i see is that IP address is ALWAYS an IP that belongs to US military networks, US government agencies, and I've also seen an IP from a UK defense organization.
So if you're really paranoiac, you could say that all the traffic going through Codetel goes first to the FBI or the US military. Now if you take it more easy, you can think that Codetel network engineer are having fun with their DNS settings, trying to put *scary* IP address in each hostname to cool down spam / hackers intentions ?
So, what do you think ? Shall we all be paranoiac or just take it easy ?
