- 44 interment beds
- 7 random doctor offices
- 1 pediatric office
- 1 gynecological office
- 1 dentist office
- 1 physiatry & vaccine office
- 1 chemical laboratory
- 1 hematology laboratory
- 1 bacteriology laboratory
- 1 taking samples laboratory.
- A magnetic resonance imaging machine (MRI)
- A CT Scan machine

- An ultrasound machine
- 3 surgery rooms
- 1 giving birth room
- 4 preparation beds

Where exactly in Sosúa is this taking place?

Since this is a government project, now you know where some of your Dominican taxes such as ITBIS charged every time you buy most things is going.

Forgot to mention that the Sosúa traumatological hospital is suppose to serve the entire north coast including places as far as Las Terrenas and Samaná. I find it interesting that is being built in Sosúa instead of Puerto Plata, but proximity could be important for expats.

Alao, the "newly ben attention room" is suppose to say "newly born attention room."

The only 2 hospitals That I know being constructed is just outside the airport entrance. One has been under construction for years and is just before the military air station on the left. The latest is between the airport and la union.

As far as I know, Hospital Ricardo Limardo in Pto. Plata is considered to be a traumatological hospital.

Honestly, we just call them trauma centers in English. You are a nutmegger, right?

You can see why in the video that things are quiet about it. It ain't done.
Ah. So we've gone from "Yeah, Sosua will never get a hospital" to "It ain't done" or "There's only one person working on it" or whatever.

I can't wait to read the "They run out of everything" and "there's no good doctors there" comments.

The no docs or no good docs and no supplies are yet to come. Can't put the cart before the horse.

The Grace Children's hospital in Cangrejo has been under construction for 4 years and it's not a large complex. Basically like 6 one story buildings with 10 roofs.
Seems like the project has stalled. Haven't seem much progress the last 6 months

The charity funding it perhaps did not have a lot of pesos to do it quickly. If the Argentines were building it that are doing Eden Cabarete and Cabarete Country Club, the results would be realized quicker.

As for the public hospital, lets see what happens after it opens.

They need several things to be successful. Good working x-ray department (with redundancy) . CT and MRI department with highly qualified technicians, same with ultrasound. Oh and backup generators.
They need heart surgeons, neurologists and orthopedists.
Also maybe someone who can do successful knee and hip replacements.
But with all the moto crashes they will be doing a lot of ortho work with amputations.
It would be nice to see them coordinate better with insurance companies than Bournigal.
All that will be a tall order.
But as the saying goes build it and they will come.

I think I've seen more people missing legs in DR than at Walter Reed hospital.
