Government’s legal defense gets Florida court to override MiaCargo lawsuit

Legal advisor to the Presidency, Antoliano Peralta Romero announced the government’s defense was able to get the Federal District Court of South Florida to dismiss on 28 March 2024 the million-dollar lawsuit filed in 2022 by MiaCargo against the Dominican Postal Institute.

MiaCargo had sued the government on 14 June 2022 requesting damages for US$10 million for alleged breach of an exclusivity contract.

The law firm of Squire Patton Boggs, and lawyers Raul B. Mañón and José Ricardo Feris handled the case for the Dominican government.
