Just an FYI
I've been using pedidosya regularly for the last few years, and it's been pretty painless up until a few weeks ago.

Now I have two deliveries I paid with my CC that were never delivered.

Also, in the last 3 days, I've had 3 deliveries where the delivery person showed up with the food, and when I give them a 1000 peso note, they say they don't have change, but they'll go get change someplace else.
The first two times, the drivers took the money and disappeared. (I got the food)
Today, the kid came with my order, told me he didn't have change, so I told him to leave his cel phone with me while he goes for change.
He wouldn't do it. Then I said to leave his motorcycle and go on foot, and he wouldn't do that either.
He then drove off with my order. (Holy shades of UBER)

I wrote to their customer service line, and the girl told me sorry, and that she would issue a coupon for the order. I didn't get the coupon either.

From now on, if I don't have exact change or close to it, I'm not using them.

Anybody else had a problem with them?

Just the way some drive recklessly on their motos. Saw one doing wheelies.

I think that In general, Service, Attitude, packaging and even the Food Quality went totally downhill with most of the Delivered Food
Items. They think that we do still live in the "covid times" when we were totally depend on them. But to be honest... we (the costumers) are the guilty ones by accepting this crap.

I've never used them. I always use Uber Eats without an issue. I've had Pedidosya deliver my order several times even though I used Uber eats. Are they connected in some way?

For all deliveries, picking up takeout etc etc. we simply use motoconchos that the family know. Never issues. We even send them sometimes to exchange thousands of pesos from EUR, obviously never one issue, they bring back receipt and everything. Trick is to only use trusted people.

As I mentioned in my original post, I have used them frequently over a few years without a single problem.

4 issues in a row has convinced me not to use them anymore unless I have exact change.

So that tells me that they must have undergone some change. The delivery persons near you or something? Otherwise it does not make sense. Have the delivery persons changed?

Very seldom is it the same guy. There's a lot of them and I believe they're rotated but I don't know how it works.

The easiest way to deal with them is have exact change.

I am using Pedidosya a lot and the service is good, with the exception of some new delivery guy that knows better than you where you live and/or can't read.
I always pay via CC so no problem there, only strange thing (for me at least) is you have to put the tip when you order. I am old school and tip you have to earn but these days that's different, so now and then I give some cash tip when the delivery person says good day and wishes me bon apetit.
A bigger problem I have with the companies that make the food like KFC, Little Ceasars etc. They often don't read the whole order or read only half of it, I can understand that their phone is more important than a customer. Ofcourse personnel is a problem everywhere.

You can opt out of the tip when you scroll down. I always give a cash tip. The guys told me that they like the cash better than on the App.

The tip is supposed to be divided between the restaurant staff and the delivery guy.

When you tip the delivery guy directly, they don't share it with anyone else.

The tip left on UberEats or PedidosYa ap is 100% for the person who makes the delivery.

I think it’s the mentality, especially with the younger generations. Fast money, bad work. For anything paid upfront it has become a lottery to get anything in return.

I hate to say it but that's another Petty scam what really strikes me funny is when I walk into jumbo at 8:00 in the morning and I give the lady a 2,000 pesos and then she tells me she doesn't have change and then I tell her I'll wait here until you get change and I don't care how long the line is and then I rip into her and say it's 8:00 in the morning how can you not have change and of course I get the dumb look
