10 Best Bars of Puerto Plata

The Culture Trip made a list of the best 10 bars in Puerto Plata.
Off course everybody has their own favorite bar and for a lot of people the list had to be different I think.
But for me it is nice that it is a mix:
- tipical Dominican bars (809 and la canita, la canita is closed but I don't think they now that)
- more classy bars for dominicans (bottles, Stragos)
-bars where you will find both dominicans and expats and tourists (Big Lee, Tropical Bar, Ocean World)

I've been to all the bars in the list and every place has its charm and I had fun in all of them

and i would like to know how many bars on that list can produce a decent cocktail...anyone can open a beer.

Hasn't CocoBongo (in POP) been closed for years?

Some of them I never heard of, and I live in Puerto Plata (14 years) and I drink a lot!

Some of them were taken straight from tripadvisor rankings, which can be skewed by a clique.

But some choices on there a definitely new and good!
