There is a difference in my mind if you die as a result of your stupidity or not. Never speak ill of the dead. In this case these are basically children who had a dream and had undoubtably been influenced by someone or something they've seen online. They made a stupid decision, yes, but then just to laugh at them seems callous. Would you go to their funeral and remind everyone how they were stupid for example?

They made a stupid decision, yes, but then just to laugh at them seems callous. Would you go to their funeral and remind everyone how they were stupid for example?
Once I am dead, I could care less what people think. Why would I care when I no longer exist? I find funerals a waste of time and I certainly would not go to theirs.
As for the stupid stowaways, people should know how stupid they were and it might prevent more such stupidity. Many feel they were not even close to stupid enough to qualify for Darwin Awards this year, but I think they should at least get honorable mention.
Funerals are not for the dead, but for the living.
And for profit. The cost has risen considerably. Some cities are now demanding a plastic liner for the coffin where people are embalmed to prevent formaldehyde leaching into the surrounding soil.
Unfortunately, desperation causes some people to do stupid things. It is a shame because they were young kids. I just find it amazing that some people think they would survive hiding in the wheel well. You read/hear stories about this every so often so clearly it continues to happen.
