A Cleaning Problem

Welcome to the DR.

I've been here already 3 years. There is very little that surprises me here anymore. This is my first sort of "real" Dominican lodging. My last place was the lap o'luxury compared to this one.

Bleach, bleach, bleach. Mother used it everywhere, together with elbow grease. My go to cleaning products: vinegar, bleach, Mr. Clean, & Comet. Warning - never mix bleach and Mr. Clean together. Number 1 it doesn't work to remove stains and Number 2 you'll end up on your ass.

Isn't the real problem the drain? If you get the water moving, the stains wouldn't occur.

Unfortunately, no. The water in the far end of the shower just pools there.

squeegee.............. cheap and simple.... push it to the drain when finished showering...

then hair dryer if you're that fussy

OR

keep an old 'dog towel' nearby to mop up after..... hang to dry
