Is this trick photography? I zoomed it. I can't see a stem... The flower seems to be floating in midair, like a UFO.

That is very funny! It does look that way!

what's going on here...

I still don't see the stem, however, in the top left quadrant of the following detail, you can see a white flower. Is it on the same stem?

Talk about getting off topic....

Everyone is talking about whether there's a "stem" or not.

What's the name of the Flower/Weed?

That is not a flower. The red things are the seeds and they are not poisonous. The vine is use to treat rash/salpullio. Basically, put the vine in a large tin can and let it boil. Use the cool water to bathe and the vine to scrub your skin. I think the name is cundiamor, that is the name I know it by.

Mirador and Stodgord

From the posts from both of you, looks like all three of us were doing a Google search at the same time. I almost posted the same two items you two posted.

Amazing,

is what the DR1 group is. I always learn something new every time I "tune" into the forum. Which is why I return daily for my DR1 fix. I'll be looking for this stunning flower on my next trip. Keep up the great work and keep the info coming.
Thanks to you all
