Victoria House is on Sosua Bay.
The new Roam & Crave Restaurant is 1/2 way to Cabarete, kidding, it's a short ride to the beach!

I'm not sure what you are talking about.
I'm asking if the hotel that*Ahnvee is renovating the Victorian Hotel or the one next to it? Or is the Ahnvee located somewhere else?

The new AHNVEE resort is further east toward the end of Pedro Clisante, it was the former La Esplanada Hotel.

Its facilities, both the rooms and the gymnasium, have been designed to attract top-level athletes.

Uhhh, are there enough 'top-level athletes' to fill a hotel on a consistent basis?

No there are not. We do however get many professional athletes visit Sosua and they stay at top end hotels. Not sure which demographic this hotel is trying to attract, but athletes aren't coming here.

They are trying to attract athletic people with a large amount of money to spend on vacations.

I would imagine they can only go so far with local construction materials... Concrete and Low Cost Labour.

To be a real 5 Star Resort, a lot of Shipping Containers will have to start to arrive with 5 Star fittings.
Everything you see when you look at a finished resort... Lights, Doors, Tile, Plumbing, Furniture and all the Hardware.
They will most likely arrive around back, out of site and secure.

When these Shipping Containers clear Customs (no problems there) and arrive.. then the real High Quality Construction can begins.

You would be surprised at how little is actually imported for the numerous similar AI hotels that have been built throughout the country.

Most doors and joinery products and wood furniture products are made at the many good joinery shops in the country and good ceramic and natural tiles are found in abundance. Aluminum windows and doors are assembled locally using imported sections and when it comes to sanitaryware, hardware and lighting components these will likely be imported by the local agents and delivered to the project site on a just in time basis. I doubt if many brown field construction sites have much spare space for containers and the finishing materials are likely being supplied progressively with the aim of the stated opening. If not you can forget the posted opening.

It is not as though this is a first in DR which has robust successful and thriving construction industry building very large numbers of beds year in year out.
