This old map is to mock the tendency of many New Yorkers to think NYC is the center of the universe. The map is old, but many Dominicans see the USA like that too, but in Spanish... sort of.

Probably true but more and more Dominicans are living in the Carolinas and Kentucky. My wife has family in Texas, Utah, Washington state, Florida, and Alabama.
