A New Snack from Peruvian Investors

Krujis! is a new snack from the same Peruvian investors that brough Kola Resl and others. This will be completely made in the Dominican Republic amd will use Dominican products. Technically, despite the investors are Peruvians, this makes the product 100% Dominican.

What do expats think? It taste better than the other similar products in the Dominican market or it has ways to go with the competition?

I sure hope they hire enough people to crush all the chips like the other brands. I have never bought a bag of chips that docent contain everything crushed inside. Even Pringles in a can have many broken chips.

I've had a bagger at JUMBO once crumble a bag so it would fit into a spot in my reusable bag. I (and the cashier) just watched him in stunned silence.
I then took it and exchanged it for another one.
And how about a loaf of bread in the bottom of a bag? lol

yes the baggers are the worst. stuffing cold things all over the place instead of all together.

My Wife taught me yrs ago.. it’s all how you feed the conveyor for best results …also I was cutting grass wrong washing dishes wrong and also laundry so I am forbidden 🚫 to do any of those things…

......but back to the original topic ....Peruvian yuquitas chips ? ...mmmmm...🤔...we had Peruvian yuquitas fritas sometime ago....fried yuca...in avocado oil...seasoned well ...not bland ...with some amazing dips 🤤🤤....and if that's anything to go by ...then Krujis may be a winner ....but why make the product "100% dominican ?"......give the Peruvian recipe ...something different ...don't just give the same old yuca chips ...in different packaging ....because....ya tenemos !

Nah, I've never gotten that impression. Most of the ones I talk to seem to be pretty sharp; mostly guys in their mid 20's. You can talk to them and figure out if there's any grey matter upstairs.
I take the reusable bags whenever I go and always explain things to them before I start checking out to avoid one bag that weighs 50 lbs. and another that weighs 5.
To be honest, most of the baggers aren't bad-it's the new ones ya gotta watch out for.

Do the baggers make a salary or do they just get tips at work?
I like the markets with the female cashiers and dozens of male baggers all trying to help me. Very sweet people. I don’t buy chips but this kruji product has piqued my interest. Film at 11.

The ones at Jumbo are tips only, I believe. Sirena has only a few and I think they are on the payroll. In Bravo the cashiers are the baggers. Every time I hand them a tip they are overly gracious.

I stand beside the baggers and untie the bags after they tie them. I explained to them that the loops are handles not excess plastic to tie them up. Untied bags are much easier to carry than tightly knotted bags.

The Bravo in San Isidro has dude baggers and lady cashiers. The baggers will take it to your car if you want, which I think is a waste. But I still give the baggers 25 pesos.

Now that I think of it, the Bravo in Downtown Center has baggers at some of the check out counters but the cashiers have the revolving bag holder anyway.
