The 129-room AC Punta Cana by Marriot is opening early next year in Punta Cana. The hotel is EGI Business Group’s first hotel in the Dominican Republic.
This will be Marriott’s sixth AC in the Caribbean and Central America region. There are also AC hotels in Costa Rica (Escazu), Guatemala (Ciudad de Guatemala), Jamaica (Kingston), Panama (Panama City) and Puerto Rico (San Juan).
The hotel focuses on the so-named “bleisure traveler,” where travelers combine business and leisure. The hotel makes it easy for business travelers to meet their associates at the property, while it also offers many attractions sought by those choosing resort travel in the area. The AC Hotels first opened in Madrid in 1999 turning later into a new brand of the chain.
