History
Volair was founded in 2003 and is today one of the largest and safest Dominican airlines.

Air Dominicana is the flag carrier airline for the Dominican Republic. It is expected to begin operations in April 2008 with a Boeing 737-800. A second one is due in June 2008 and a Boeing 767-300 in October.

This airline will operate flights to USA, the Caribbean, South America and Europe.

Air Dominicana was incorporated on May 9, 2007 in Santo Domingo with a capital of US$10 million. This airline will begin its operations in April 2008 with a Boeing 737-800. It's main purpose being turism therefore it's main hub will be located at Punta Cana.

Dominair is a passenger airline based in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, that has offered flights to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, since 2004. Before that it was a popular airline with regular flights from Santiago de los Caballeros to San Juan, Puerto Rico, using two de Havilland Canada Dash 8 airplanes. The airline now only flies to Port-au-Prince and has a fleet composed of two L-410 Turbolet aircraft.

PAN AM WORLD AIRWAYS DOMINICANA dba PAWA DOMINICANA established in 2003 as a subsidiary of Pan American World Airways from the USA, also operated under a joint venture with Boston Maine Airways from Portsmouth, NH. On April 2005 SERVAIR a Dominican Corporation dedicated to offer Airline Handling Services at all airports in the Dominican Republic purchased the airline completely and started a new certification process under the new Dominican regulations which allow the airline to operate under local control with Dominican registered aircrafts (HI).

Finally on May 2007 the company received the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) as Part 121 from the Instituto Dominicano de Aviacion Civil (IDAC) which allow the airline to operate schedule services from the Dominican Republic to North, Central and South America also the Caribbean Region and charter services worldwide.

Early July 2007 the Dominican Republic acquired Category I from the United States of America and will allow PAWA Dominicana to enter United State Territories in Commercial flights.

Hi

I can pretty much guarantee that Viva Air Dominicana does not have any aircraft or certificate to operate such aircraft in this country or the U.S. I agree with Navus 16 that you should check your facts. For example, Take off air is only a marketing company and utilizes the aircraft from SAP on contract. They show schedules for numerous flights per day but actually only have 1 or 2 flights per day.
