Several sources are saying that the daughter of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo and mother of Ramfis Domínguez Trujillo has died in Miami, Florida. She had been living outside the DR since the 1960's in France, Spain and the United States.

I met her daughter in Miami. The sister of Ramfis. They were a group of friends and one was a granddaughter of another South American former leader. Funny experience. RIP

As a side note, the Basílica Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia was started under Trujillo (her father), but ended many years later by Balaguer.

Her and much of her family took refuge in religion, which was necessary to sustain the things she went through after the death of her father (in itself a very traumatic event for her as she was his favorite.) She never got completely over that despite that happen such a long time ago and the fact that she last spoke to him prior to him departing to San Cristóbal and asking him not to leave that night as it was already late. Have to keep in mind that she nevrr saw Trujillo as most people, she dimply saw him as her father.

I guess the same could be said of the many people killed under Trujillo's regime as all of them had family members, many with their parents still alive. But this is about her, another collateral victim that the Trujillo dictatorship created (and as a consequence of) on both sides.
