Hi all, anyone with a contact for noise control specifically in Cabarete for parked vehicles or random parties.
It's not against a place in particular. Local police stops by, noise goes down, they leave and it goes back up.

The police need to confiscate the source of the sound. All perfectly legal for them to take the offending loudspeakers.
Perhaps here on the north coast they don't yet realize this.

Where exactly is the offending loudness happening?

The ridiculously loud vehicles also fall under the same restrictions, but they seem to do little with them .

Thanks all. Off of the main street. From Janet to Viva pretty much. Gas stations, food truck/parks, local businesses, ya tu sabes...
Will try my luck with 911 again, sometimes they say, call the local police and they give me the number, local police tells me to call politur, politur tells me to call the local police, and so on. Also hear that they cannot do anything before midnight, then wait until 1am, etc.

Anyway, that's why I'm asking for a reliable source if it exists. I did this too: https://denuncias.policia.gob.do/AnonymousComplaint

Your best bet is with the denuncias website. They also have an app where you can do the same thing.

They have been much more active on responding to reports in the last few months. I use it frequently and have gotten resultsin as little as 15-20 minutes.

I think there was a link or an app posted on this forum especially for noise complaints, but I can't find it. I don't believe they want you to use 911 for noise complaints anymore(?).

Correct The website and the app are virtually the same so he should be good to go and forget about 911.

The government recently formed COBA to deal with noise complaints. My nephew was appointed director in SFM and tells me it is not an easy job. There is someone on the North Coast you is head of COBA, try to find out how to contact them. They will confiscate speakers is they have to return more than once, at least here in el Cibao.

I drive up and down that strip every day. Never heard any parked cars or establishments blasting music. Loud trucks and motos - yes. Even in the evenings around 10pm it' not noisy. Maybe late at night(?).

Keep up the good work. Dominicans do not like the situation much either:

Denuncias (which is the official RD police reporting app). have apps for smart phone as well. If you walk into their offices you will even see posters on the wall about it. Used to be called "Policia RD"
