I like it that Banreservas provides a card with codes called "tarjeta código". You dont need it to do transactions within your own accounts and products, but without it you can't do transactions to third parties.

I also like it that with Banreservas you can see your balances instantly.

With other banks I used to have products with you had to wait like a day later for any transactions to show on your balance.

BPD is not like that. Any transactions are seen instantly on your account(s).

It maybe obvious for some but choosing the right bank for online banking may not be the only criteria to be safe .
The type of connection and device that the user is using may be as critical....

People should never used an unsecured WIFI connection to check their banking statements.Username and password can be intercepted.
Hackers can setup hotspots with WIFI names which look familiar to you when they actually provide an access point to internet where they will be analyzing
the internet traffic to intercept any potential username/password .

Same for public computer....Should never used for any banking activity. You never know what kind of software can be installed to intercept user credentials.

Online banking should only be done over a secured connection with 2 factors authentication enabled.
FYI,2 factors authentication is the technical term to identify the second password that you need to enter after entering successfully the first password.
It's usually send by email or SMS.

If a bank does not support a second factor of authentication ,it should be a non starter for any online banking activity...

All the above is not specific to DR.

SMS 2FA is like one of the least secure methods......

An auth app ( like Google authenticator) is definitely the way to go.
