WOW that's a lot in taxes @customs.. not saying it's not correct the amt you paid,, just that $700 bucks in taxes is alot... in dr$ ~ 24k just in taxes.
But true,, might be better deal than dr prices for 32" lcd.

How early in January did you bring it in. Were'nt the taxes elimnated for this time period because of Christmas and Los Reyes. I brought in a couple of new DVD players and didnt get charged anything. I also saw a guy pass a TV(about 32 in but not LCD) through and customs let him go without charging him.

Edit: I did come in Las Americas on the other hand.
