Argenis Contreras’s defense accuses prosecutor of hiding evidence in the Yuniol Ramirez murder case

Argenis Contreras, the main suspect in the murder of lawyer Yuniol Ramirez yet to appear in court, has filed a criminal complaint against the chief prosecutor of the National District, Rosalba Ramos, for allegedly concealing evidence.

Lawyer Plutarco Jáquez says that Ramos incurred in a criminal offense by disregarding a court order that two months ago ordered her to examine the cell phones of three people implicated in the alleged corruption in the government OMSA bus company. Jaquez says these persons are behind Ramirez’s murder.

The defense seeks access to information in the cell phones used by the former director of the Metropolitan Office of Bus Services (OMSA), Manuel Rivas; that of former Omsa financial director Faustino Rosario, and that of businessman Eddy Santana Zorrilla, who were initially linked to the murder of Ramirez.
