well its a little difficult to talk about. his father brought him over here when he was 10 with his sister, when they were 14 n 16 there dad went to get can citizenship for his sister and told him if he wanted it he would have to pay himself, so my then 14 yr old bf got a job at a chineese resturant to pay for his citizenship, his dad took the money and told him he did it, my sons father had no idea tht his father kept the money for himself, and my sons father had a social insurance card a health card everything so he had no clue his dad never applied. btw his dad is the biggest slimeball ever, the reasons i think that r to much for me to talk about on a public board. but any way, when i was pregnant, he was working out of town to make as much as he could before the baby came. his "friend" was staying in our spare room so we could also get extra money from rent, his "friend" went and stole a bunch of our things including money from a piggy bank we made for our new baby, i confronted his "friend about it, it turned into a big argument and his friend struck me. when my sons father returned from work he was very angry with what had happened, so he went and beat the guy up, and because it happened after his friend left, it was comsidered premeditated, and turned into an aggrivated assult charge. im not saying beating this guy up was a ood thing but in a sense he was defending my honor so to speak. aggrivated assult happens to be a federal offence, and because he was not a canadian citizen, immigration came to see him. we tried to apeal it, and the laywer we were gonna use we could no longer afford to pay, and had to use another lawyer, who was really not a good one, kinda reminded me of lionol huts from the simpsons. anyway long story short he was granted bail with our other lawyer, but was not granted a stay with the new lawyer. i know a lot will say he shouldnt have done that, and if we could go back in time he wouldnt have, but he was so angry more so because i was pregnant at the time. and this is where we r now. anyways he is a great person just made a bad mistake. well thanks again for the advice. at least i know he will be ok till he can find work, he has had a few interviews so heres hoping, but again without the proper id it is a bit more difficult. thanks
