If you didn't get Ghetto chics in the US, why would you get barrio chicas here?

Its plain and simple: either people get what they look for or simply they settle for what they are capable of getting. In this case, many expats and tourists only attract attention of poor desperate girls who would marry a guy just to get a visa out of this country or to feed her 2 bastard kids from another loser. You will hear all sorts of stories from these guys trying to justify their choice of acquaintance in DR but the bottom line is always the same: this is the best they can do in DR.
note: This post is not directed towards adrian. I know he is doing just fine in this country.

coz they are gorgeous, sweet and widely available.

these girls are good people, they just haven't had the opportunities that others have had.

Thank you! Finally someone that makes some sense without rambling on and on ;)

DR1 member: what a beautiful sunny day we are having in the DR

AZB: you people have no idea what you are talking about, you don't live here and will only get to see the barrio sun along with your barrio friends while we sit with educated girls with pelo bueno and enjoy the sun that most of you will never know. Even if you live here 30 years you will never know the sun I and very few of my friends know.:cheeky:

It's the same spin no matter what you say so I have no idea why people bother.

With respect....

I think there are plenty of Ghetto and trailer girls in the US who just didn't have the opportunity and can be quite attractive as well.

The point, and I am speaking from little experience here in the DR and a lot of experience in the states; these places (ghettos, trailer parks, and barrios) tend to have a different standard of living and morals. There are exceptions, but extremely rare. Breeding grounds for potential problems (otherwise known as DRAMA). To each his own.

Just a friendly joke, I thought you might take offense to ;)
It was not a critic, just a reflection of what I have read in this thread.

I would appreciate if you leave my a** out of the discussion ;)

Well the delivery may be harsh but the message is valid. It may be more enjoyable to be here if you didnt concentrate all your time and efforts with the economically destitute people. Those people arent as capable of showing you a good time nor engaging your wits(if you have them) as those who have stable careers. And there is that notion that your sole purpose is to make THEIR life easier(by remuneration of funds). This is where the duplicity comes in.

Because to clarify SOME of the girls are good. This you wont know until you talk to them. And SOME of them havent had opportunities. SOME of them squandered them and SOME of them are just poisonous. Now I talk to them. But talking is not BUYING A HOUSE, GETTING THEM A PASOLA, PAYING UTILITY BILLS, GETTING A REFRIGERATOR, nor MARRYING. Nothing apart from my entertainment.
I have met a lot of poor women, real nice but unable to support a relationship(with me) just from the incessant lack of.... And then you get the ones who ask you for everything under the sun(as a loan) or proffer that with "if you cant help me out to give me what you can".

I disagree with some of what he was saying because you have all kinds of people in all kinds of situation, but we all have to acknowledge the stupidity in "Hey guys I dont know what to do. I got my girlfriend pregnant and I dont like her. She s a reformed hooker and I m not sure the baby is mine. But I think so because it has a big oblong head like me. I want to be there and support her and blah, blah, blah" Who cannot laugh at this? Especially when the dude tried to rationalize starting a relationship with a hooker in the 1st place.
Plus I dont know if it is the best that they can do vs. they just dont want to try any harder than this. I figure, if a guy was neglected by women in his own society he ll grab the 1st thing that smiles and says "hola". Couple that with being pretty and he s calling it a life.

The OP asked if he could meet(read:score) women on the Internet social programs. I said then as I do now, if the women is on there she is in play. But then he had this whole idea like she was a cookie or something and she would melt at his touch. And that there would shared splendor long unknown by humankind as she unleashed her inner yearnings and was ravished by the daunty foreigner from the North. He would embrace her as she felt the powerful grip of his hairy arms and the pungent odor of his Captain Caveman mouthwash. She would look into his eyes and feel herself burning like a little school girl burning in a school made of toilet paper and twigs.
I was like GTFOH!
My only grievance is that middle class here is still a pejorative term. And the possessions that come with it are relative too. If average wage is $280, middle class I guess is in the range of $400-500/month?

Dude you should re-read the text. First off, I open this thread for good reason, so as to get a good stimulating debate and intellectual conversation going, yours not withstanding. Secondly, I do NOT own a Badoo account, although I don't knock it. I'm not at all how you just portrayed me and felt the need to respond to your disrespect.

AZB made some good points, I understood where he was coming from, it's strictly from a native Dominican's view of those that frequent environments that facilitate, and inflate their their egos.

On the other hand, you my friend, may consider yourself middle class or well to do. But those with more class would probably stay away from you because of your callowness. Leaving you hanging out with the same folks ABZ, is referring to.

Too bad I don't have the writing skills of racerx but he sees the world with my eyes. Good job in expressing yourself in such an articulate way.
Mr. Alberto, I am glad not all the people want to join me in life. I am very careful in asking god what I want, because there is always a risk I might get what i pray for in life. Thanks god for not giving us all that we desire from him. heheheh
So don't worry about meeting me anywhere, because i am also picky when it comes to making friends. I, basically, want my peace and I have no desire to make anymore friends. i already have a collection of good friends around me.

Okay let me try this one last time lol... (YES Victory)

Hey AZB, Robert and others.

I am Brazilian, have been exposed the "extra attention" foreigners get when in a third world country (visiting Brazil when on vacation from Canada), and I have to say that most of the things AZB said have solid backing.

I just gave up on finishing reading the thread because it was getting ridiculous.

Point is, whores, sluts, putas, ho's are not about how much they have. It is a way of life. There are whores who live in expensive apartments and are "beeper girls" and there are those that are poor and walk the street.

I feel like what AZB wants to say is that a well to do dominican is like a well to do Canadian, or a well to do south African. It is all the same. Class is about how the person carries herself/himself, about self-respect dignity. More often found in people of higher social status, but not necessary.

Problem with barrios/favelas is that people with no class usually have no way, or are not interested, or are too lazy to make themselves rise in the social ladder. So one is much more likely to find putas there (be it real whores or just "cueros"), than in a middle class setting.

I totally get where you are coming from, I also get where people criticizing you are coming from, but I guess that some simply failed to see that your point is not that money+house+car = good person. But that having those things puts you in a more probable scenario of finding a person with dignity.
