sooo maybe he quits at the right time...or most of the time

maybe you guys are just used to posting on sites where people do nothing but talk out of their butt for some reason. It means nothing to my life wether the guys wins or loses...of course i will hope he wins because he is my buddy...i dont need to post about some friend thats a winner, to make myself look good....he wins and i know about it.. its a fact...wether it defies EVERYONES mind or just a few guys .....and if he lost everytime out Id tell it as well.

Howmar...i know the indian casinos pay a lot of money to CT....I dont know in what format they do....but CT reaps huge amounts of money from them...wether it is taxes, or shared revenue or what.....but they dont sit out there for free.....but never the less, they are huge in terms of buisness.....

You know i was amazed years ago when my brother told me what his casino was ALLOWED to make according to the state of north carolina. he was the manager of the Cherokee Indian casino in western NC. he worked for harras, which had a contract to run their casino for umpteen years. The Casino is only allowed to make 16% of the gross intake from all bets....amazing huh?

and they only had video slots by the time he left that job...so it was easy to program the machine to make that payout.....I would have thought they would be making more than that.....

I don't think you realize that a 16% take on slot machines is a brutal return to the player. By relying on the Law of diminishing returns, after the player has played $100, he has received back $84. After he has now played his $84, he has about $70.50. And so on and so on. Sure you will have players make a big hit and quit, but by losing 16% of his money on average it doesn't take long to go broke. Time is on the casino's side. For example, Atlantic City casinos are required to publish their returns and meet minimum returns, around 90%.

well I guess I HAD looked at it as the people who won that dya at slots...maybe 5 out of 500...took all the rest of the peoples money exceot for the 16%....so the guy who HIT for the 5,000 pot....won the money the other 100 people around him lost

as compared to the house winning all that money..

I wonder how they maintain a certain percentage in places where they have card games of chance...

I mean if you play stupid...

( like me and my gf did when we started with poker and then went to black jack , before we found roulette)

then you are SURE to loose all your money!!!!!and the odds dont even come into play!!!!! ha ha ha ha

Even stupid players can make a hit, just by the law of probabilities. Table games. compared to slots have a lower win percentage for the house, depending on the game and bet within a game. But again, the Law of Diminishing returns and higher wagers keep the table games profitable. Time played is the casinos friend. You will notice that at the smaller Dominican casinos, the maximum wager at the table games is relatively low. They know that anybody can make a few isolated hits and really hurt them, but consistant bets in a consistant wager range is to their advantage.

Everyday between 10pm to 11pm, the Jaragua Casino (in Santo Domingo) serves everyone free food!!! :bunny:

The Holdelpa Arimate Casino (in Santiago) also serves free food. I forgot the time. I think it was also between 10m to 11pm. This casino also serves four small slices sandwiches to you for free if you ask. I usually tip 100 pesos.
