I like the parties at the Isla gas station in Sabaneta or the bar across the street, you will be the only tourist. No hookers there that I noticed and cheap cheap cheap!

i like the gas stations....tables ,,music,,,mostly younger crowds after work etc beautiful young ladies always looking for their dating games...wow evan being an old guy dom chics have an eye for a guy... 20 22 24 they smile and flirt....say hi...and beautis....

Go to Casa Marina Beach Resort, you can buy a week quite cheap and its walking distance to all the nightclubs you'll have a blast!!

But I like the view and atmosphere there and meet many other middle class people there for a great time. It's cheap enough to have lots of extra $ to play and eat in town. I don't travel to sit on a resort. Mind your own business and keep your negative comments to yourself. How do you live assh $#@!... alone I bet.

What will you do on a hot summer night when the lights go off in your building and the "handyman" isn't there to turn on the generator? How are you going to respond when your maid pours bleach on your new clothes ? How are you going to respond when you go through Puerto Plata and have beggars at every light ? What are you going to do when your tablet gets fried by the electrical surges ? What are you going to do when your neighbours talk loud, get drunk and play insipid music. You are showing that you don't have what it takes. Have fun in paradise, it's sad that a child is being brought into this.

First off I AM a handyman and don't need to rely on someone else. .I rewired my own home. . Second I don't need a maid I'm not a lazy ass who can't wash her own sheets. . Thirdly I am pleased to give the freezing beggars a buck when they stand freezing arsed off at my highway exit daily. Lastly. .I am the one who plays the music loud! Shows how much you know. I respond this way to ignorance and rudeness to someone they have never met.

Tiff, we do not permit 4-letter words here, even if they are 'disguised'. If you're going to stick around here - or move to DR at any time - you need to grow a thicker skin so you can let things roll off your back. I understand you have a lot of questions, and a lot of the people who have answered your questions and comments do know what they're talking about, even if their "delivery" needs a bit of polishing.

not really. why LT is better than Sosua and North Coast ? In My opinion, people from Europe, especially from countries like Italy or
France fit in DR really easier and better than US guys with Dominicans...And I would say that in LT the situation is like "coexistence", while in Sosua
"some kind of cultural fight"....

Check out Luperon. Not full of tourists as is Las Terrenas. Just because those Francophones don't speak English doesn't mean they aren't tourists. Beautifulist beach I have seen outside of Key West FL.

Which transportation services, what is the cost and where are they located in POP and STI to travel to Sabaneta? How late does the transportation return back?

Sorry I don't know much about public transit, I drive. I am sure you can take a carro publico, although I did this once at 4 am from Cabarete to Gaspar Herbandez and will NEVER do it again seemed dangerous to me!

But she asked for a tourist free place, and Las Terrenes is fuller with tourists than even Puerto Plata.

Well, a few things. First, Puerto Plata isn't really all that hot a tourist destination, at least prior to the Carnival port opening up. In truth, Playa Dorada isn't what it used to be.

And, I kinda think the "secret" has been out on LT for a few years now. It's like Hawaii on a serious budget, and one of the nicest places on the island (at least that I've been to). The fact it's only a few hours from SDQ, which has far more flights, doesn't hurt either.

That would be my last choice of a ride that late, I already know the experience. I am trying to minimize my cost when traveling between different cities every day.

Yes the weekends are usually when it is busiest. I only know of the gas station and the club across the street, I can ak around about other places there.

Transportation is inexpensive using Caribe Tours, Metro Bus, other mini-busses, guaguas and public cars, although it does take some experience on how best to use that transportation.
