Best Way to get to PUNTA CANA

I am wanting to take public transportation from Puerto Plata or Santo Domingo to Punta Cana. It seems neither MetroBus nor Caribe Tours makes this trip. So I was just wondering if any of you knew of other ways to get there. Obviously I can rent a car, but I am looking to take public transportation.

Any Suggestions??

Or you can go from PP to SD and change bus in SD to PC. Caribe Tours probably can do this. It's not one trip, but two different trips. Hope this helps/

You can take Caribe buses to SD and than Expresso Bavaro buses. From Bavaro probably a taxi or local bus to Punta Cana. Google these and it will give you schedules.

Rent a paddle boat and take the coastal route around the Samana peninsula.

You can catch either the Metro or the Caribe bus in Puerto Plata that will take you to Santo Domingo.
From there you can catch a bus to Punta Cana.

Yea, I know how this site works. I imagine most people are drunk when they respond to posts. but I appreciate your reply. I was just trying to see if there was some other way rather than going to SD. I loathe that city.
