I saw that Burger King briefly offered fake meat burgers in Puerto Plata but seem they have disappeared there.
Their price was 1.5 tines a real beef burger.
I see the imitation beef chicken and pork sales are faltering world wide due to cost and lack of consumer demand.
Anyone here seeing these products for sale?
Has anyone tried them?
If so your opinion?

They are on the way to the slaughter house.I posted a link but that too failed. <Long and short of the story is consumers have lost interest in the product of Beyond Meat.

Better & clear what is in the Beyond burger:

But isn't in nice this basket of ingredients have no GMO sources, which is BS as most seeds now are GMO modified.

Maltodextrin has an even higher glycemic index (GI) than table sugar. This means that maltodextrin can cause a sharp increase, or spike, in people’s blood sugar shortly after they eat foods that contain it.
A spike in blood glucose can be particularly dangerous for people with diabetes or insulin resistance.

Methylcellulose is a bulk-forming laxative that increases the amount of water in your stools to help make them softer and easier to pass.
Methylcellulose may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have:
  • severe stomach cramps, rectal bleeding; or
  • no bowel movement within 3 days after using methylcellulose.
Not sure if I want bamboo as my fiber - Not sure it should be eaten.
Bamboo carries a toxin that creates hydrogenic cyanide when chewed or digested.

Still on the menu at BK in Puerto Plata. Eat them occasionally in Santiago. Even my Dominican friends like them. I have more of a problem with the rapidly rising costs of any restaurant food. Not sure how you calculated the price difference. The Whopper Combo is 365 and the Veggie Combo 400. Needless to say, if you eat meat, there's certainly no reason to pay more for the Impossible burger at BK. I do agree there seems to be a lot of stuff in Impossible meats. Anybody know what all is in the ground beef BK uses? Just curious.

I see food prices rose 4.9% in July in the US.
I swear they were up by more than that in Playero

Who needs this garbage. I am old fashioned I want meat in a hamburger.............................
it really ruins the taste of their burgers. Unfortunately, they all do it. Prepare the meat ahead, and hold it in a heating tray until they prepare your hamburger.
Wendy's is the only one who I've encountered who will cook a patty for you while you wait if you request it.

Speaking of Wendy's. I always get a fresh burger because I don't want cheese and Mayonnaise. So they cook it fresh all the time.............Wait a bit but well worth it. And Wendy's lays over the others...................

I see their meat is supposedly pure beef. Wonder why their burgers don't taste like Mom's.
Because they cook them ahead of time and hold them in heating trays. Get one straight off of the grill and see if it tastes the same.

I'm guessing it's because of the grilling process, they like to have them prepared ahead of time in case there's a rush, but when there isn't they really dry out.
Watch them the next time they prepare a hamburger for you. They'll lay the bun down, pull out the heating tray and take a patty out of it.

Don't be so sure of that. They'll prepare it any way you like, but there's a strong possibility the meat will come from a heating tray. Don't take my word for it, go order one and watch.
