As long as it's not one of those flour, sugar & water Dominican cakes that tastes like you're eating sweet nothing.There's a bakery (panaderia) in Islabon, right on the highway just past Cabarete that will make a great birthday cake in an hour or so...not too expensivre and they'll write whatever you'd like on it.

Not sure we'll go as elaborate as one of Sandi's cakes this time around, but will definitely keep in mind for the future and pass the word on to anyone else I hear is looking for something special.
Dick's had been a thought, but wasn't sure if they made cakes. Islabon may be the ticket this time around.
