I shipped several boxes with Montero Shipping recently (9/10) from DC. They will be delivered in Santiago next week. They quote 4-6 weeks. Boxes were picked up at my home in DC. I did my own packing. Will let you know if any issues next week. Call the 800 # for locations.

we just shipped a humungous box im not kidding i believe the dimentions were like 33x27x23 or larger, and the thing weighed a ton almost 100 lbs. we had called montero shipping and they quoted us something like $ 250 to ship it....we then were informed by a friend to try shipping company La Primevera who are out of NYC, the bronx maybe (thats where they picked it up anyways) and they charged us a whopping $125!! pretty good deal if u ask me...the box was full of clothes and a few other items...but our friend informed us that the co does not look open your box he said we could send a big rock if we wanted to ....jeje....

Just because a parcel leaves from your front door does not mean you have cleared customs free of duties.

I saw a advertisement on TV for Montero shipping where if you ship 2 boxes not only do they charge you $125. but they add 2, I think its 2 or 3 gallons of Corn Oil and 50lbs of rice for free. I live in Rhode Island, but I would be that goes for all cities. The boxes must only contain Food Items.

From DC

Didn't get the oil and rice using Montero shipping from DC. Was told that was NY area only. Paid $375 for 4 18"x18"x28" Dish Pac boxes. Some special was going on at the time I shipped last month. Most items were food but did have a King Size comforter, pillows and pad in one and some pots and pans mixed in. Nothing was opened and I will use them if the need arises again.

the box arrived a couple days ago, so it took over a month to get here...month and a week approximately....nothing was missing, there was no custom charges, the top of the box was wrapped in ceranwrap (sp?) and they delivered it to our door. again the company is la primevera and its located in the bronx.
