The ban on UK passengers arriving in DR was very quietly lifted today and UK nationals are now allowed to enter if they have a negative PCR test within the last three days. Nothing I can see reported in the news about this, but it is on the IATA web page now.

I can't see this will have much effect on tourism from the UK. BA have now cancelled all their flights to Punta Cana until March 20th and anyone who did come would need to find a way to get here (Brits not permitted to travel via Spain or via the US), a PCR test to arrive and another to return. But it may help some DR1 readers so I thought it worth mentioning.

Judging by the amount of time Abinader mentioned hotels in his presentation on TV tonight, it's pretty clear that the tourist industry trumps any other concerns.
