I have been signed up for a while, but never active. It has been 7 years since I decided to make my future in the DR, almost 5 since I got lucky and married a wonderful Dominican woman, and 3 years since I got my permanent residence. My kids are in private school in Santo Domingo, we spend as much time as possible (including a too-long pandemic) in Bavaro, and we have had some modest success in business. In all this time, I have met only one other American living here.
I am an economist. If you want to know more, I will be interviewed tomorrow morning on Telematutina 11, with Ramon Nuñez, at around 8:15 (for the Spanish-speakers, of course).
