Business License to import

Greetings All,

I have read everything here and I am still not certain I understand the requirements to import into the DR. It seems that some of you import without having a business license. So my first question is--------is it necessary to have a business license to import into this country?

My second question is----------can anyone here recommend a customs broker who speaks English?

As long as you pay the piper there is no need for any 'license" per se..

I speak English!

I have a custom broker office in SD and recently went thru the process of getting an import licence with Customs. It took us about a year to, but we finally got it. If you need more details, you can PM me or post. All you need is a good lawyer and other details that you can discuss with him/her.
