A strip club in Cabarete would kinda be like having a
wishing well in heaven.

That is to say, it's just a tad redundant.

is El Bohiem and Crystal's still open in POP ? haven't been there in 2 years.

Couldn't agree more with the previous posters. Both Crystals and El Boheme are open but are horribly over priced. The Salida (exit fee) is like 4,000 pesos and in places like Blackbeard's Adult Resort (Costambar, Puerto Plata) you only pay $3000 pesos for all night! You have to be a guest there, but you can also take girls out of there for a fee. Remember, the Salida at Crystals and El Boheme DOES NOT include what you must then pay the girl AFTER she leaves...this is roughly in the neighborhood of $500 pesos...so just check around and you will be better off. The thing I like about Blackbeard's is the girls are checked monthly, treated fairly well and get to take home ALL of the $$$, less a bi-monthly rental fee paid to their "manager". All in all one of the better jobs in "the biz" on the North Coast. Be careful and protect yourself!

PS An expert move is to go to Blackbeard's for dinner during the night shift which starts at 6pm, find a girl you like, get her cell phone number and negotiate a meeting with ther offsite so you don't have to pay the Salida....it is done all the time

Well, when I was in Boheme in June, 2009, my DR amigo spoke to the owner and took care of things. $100 US bar fine of which the chica gets half for a whole night of fun :)
Then I got the chicas number so next time I will pay her directly and not get bar fined :)

...i been to DR 4 times last 3 years and cabrete nightlife is much more upscale then sosua, clubs like LAX and Bamboo and jumping till at least 3am everything and there are alot more euro's over there and less prosti's.....real good area.....

see my thread i am looking to put 2gther another monster spring break DR trip and we conquered sosua and cabrete where looking for the next best spot with next best a/i with young singles...where else to they have places like la passion outside a/i like casa marina...any a/i close to crystal and el bohiem and what other a/i are live with action?

"Expert tricks on picking up hookers?" ... as in just asking or letting money spill out of your pocket or drooling or ... I'm think this might be an oxymoron like Military Intelligence but I'm not real sure. Expert?
