I'm working on a project and would like to know the Dominican equivalents for these skeletal defects:

bow-legged
knock-kneed
pigeon toed (toes pointing inward)
Slue footed (toes pointing outward)

Don't need what La Academia Real Espa?ola has to say--just the Dominican equivalents....thanks!

My Oxford Spanish dictionary says this:

bow-legged:: estevado

knock-kneed:: patizambo

The other two terms were not defined. Ask the DR1 resident expert on the human skeleton: 'AZB ' - you can usually find him hanging around any thread dealing with dominicanas, hehe... when he is not giving someone a chiropractic adjustment.

It was a joke, I really can not care less if I grow on anybody, and that's no joke!.

Azabache: I have read MANY books, both in Spanish and English and from what I can recall, I have not heard or read those words. But just because I have not heard of them does not mean that they don't exist.

Sorry I can not help you further.

Roger and out!!.

U certainly love that phrase, I guess YOU don't have a sense of humor.....and i think u need to be held and rocked......so u can relax :) I know u were joking and i thought i made myself clear that I was joking too with my smily face and YOU could have left it at that but noooooo........ We all know that you couldn't care less about anyone you've said it many times over and over and over...

Comparón is a good one. I don't know if it's exclusively Dominican but it means a show-off, possibly a snob.
