I thought I would spread the news that WestJet has BY FAR the cheapest flights (not sure about packages since we only ever book flight only) to the DR starting in December (POP and PUJ). My husband and I have unfortunately already booked our December flight and then today someone told me to checkout WestJet and the exact same flight is about $400 CDN cheaper per couple. I was so bummed. However, anyone else booking air only to the DR over Christmas or New Years can take advantage of these prices. For some reason, the difference seems to be in the price of taxes. Whereas Skyservice, Air Transat, SunWing are charging around $300 in tax, the flights on WestJet are only about $160? I can't figure it out but someone might as well take advantage of these great deals before they are sold out!
